Brian Donaldson - REALTOR®
Growing up on a small farm in Michigan provided me with rewarding opportunities and considerations for my life choices. I was fortunate to learn the value of demanding work and responsibility. These qualities instilled in me the benefits, which I am grateful for as they gave me a solid foundation to build both my professional and personal life.
United States Marine Corp
I joined the US Marine Corps in 1984, and Southern California became my next home, where bootcamp took place at the USMC Recruit Training Depot in San Diego, CA. I graduated meritoriously. My study of radio-repair was my specialty, and I earned the title of a Radio Repairman. My time in the USMC meant a great deal to me, and to this day is an important aspect of my adult life. I gained invaluable skills as well as a sincere lasting love of Country.
Life then took me to Northern Colorado, where I met my wife in the town of “Love-Land” in 1989. I studied Avionics at Colorado Aero Tech in Broomfield, Colorado, and graduated top of my class. After my wife and I were married, United Airlines recruited me for the position of an Avionic Technician. We re-located to the San Francisco Bay Area. Within 18 months I was promoted into management and led a group of more than 50 technicians along with managing a multi-million-dollar budget.
My entrance into Real Estate began in 2005. Learning and experiencing the nuances of the Real Estate business furthered my knowledge and served to gain important new skills: sales, negotiation, and relating to and understanding people. These are the most challenging and rewarding competencies one can master. My new career was barely underway when the worst recession in world history occurred during the years 2007 – 2009. Although a challenging time, I gained invaluable knowledge in REO / Bank owned properties, short sales, and how to work, persevere, and prosper through a downturned market.
California to Colorado
In 2010, our family moved from San Francisco to Grand Junction, a place where my wife was born and raised. Over the years together we made frequent trips to visit family here, and my father-in-law always said: “This is God’s Country.” Quickly I realized this to be a true statement. Hiking, fishing, and traveling are among many of the activities we enjoy in our little haven called The Grand Valley.
Education, learning, and training has and is my lifelong pursuit. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of San Francisco. I have trained with several Real Estate trainers including Larry Kendall, creator / author of Ninja Selling.
I am committed to helping each of my Real Estate Clients achieve their desired results. My goal is to always ensure the process is as seamless and as stress-free as possible. My experience includes single family residences, and multi-family properties, lots & land, water rights, and mineral rights, understanding every aspect of Real Estate sales. I enjoy collaborating with all buyers, sellers, and investors. It is my desire to help each customer realize their end goal; therefore, I love what I do.
